Between 5:29 PM and 6:07 PM Mountain Time today, the Chat tool in Canvas was inaccessible. Users who tried to use Chat during this time saw error messages. We apologize for the disruption this might have caused as users attempted to chat with one another within the context of a course. The cause was a core process that became unresponsive, requiring our DevOps team to reboot the supporting hardware. We'll continue to track performance of the chat tool very closely over the next several days to ensure that it remains responsive and available.
