The production release on Saturday, June 6 introduced a regression in the "K12-specific features" feature option in Canvas. Users at institutions using the option would have been unable to log into or use Canvas. We did not receive any reports from users of trouble do with this regression. This is likely because the release occurred on a Saturday morning and all institutions using this feature option are K12 schools, which typically show very little usage on weekends. Our QA team found the issue at about noon Mountain Time while performing routine post-release health checks; our engineers coded and deployed a fix within 90 minutes.
Although we received no reports from users, we think it was important to share this information in case admins received user reports of problems that they haven't forwarded to us. Again, the only institutions whose users might have been impacted were those for whom the feature option called "K12-specific features" was active.
