Some users experienced slowness in Canvas

Users at a few institutions experienced slowness when accessing Canvas for about 15 minutes this morning. Symptoms included slow page loads and some timeout errors. Our DevOps team was able to identify and resolve this issue, which had to do with an inefficient, repetitive database query that drew heavily on available resources. We apologize for the trouble!
