Some users at a few institutions saw sporadic error messages on about 10% of their page requests between 5:30 AM and 7:10 AM Mountain Time this morning. We performed scheduled maintenance overnight on database elements serving the affected institutions; the root cause of the problem this morning was a configuration error we made in the wrap-up phase of the maintenance event. We sincerely apologize for the trouble, and we'll provide an incident report to Canvas admins at the affected institution by the end of the day tomorrow.
